It’s no secret that Audemars Piguet is weaving strong ties among the creative worlds. One such partnership is with haute couture designer Tamara Ralph. The haute horlogerie manufacturer previously paired several watches with her Spring/Summer 2021 Prêt-à-porter collection.

Their enduring relationship now births a limited-edition Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon inspired by Ralph’s couture universe, making AP one of the few watch houses that creates limited collaboration pieces just for ladies.

Chiming with the designer’s aesthetic of merging bold femininity with timeless elegance, the 38.5 MM timepiece features a stunning 18-carat pink gold case adorned with shimmering frosted gold. Adapting an ancient Florentine jewellery technique, tiny indentations on the gold surface further impart a sparkling effect resembling precious stones.

Upon closer look, you’ll also notice a captivating multi-layer dial in brown, bronze and gold gradients. In a refined play on textures and light, the detail clearly echoes Ralph’s textured couture creations. A diamond-set flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock and the polished bevel outlining the octagonal bezel further accentuates the timepiece.

Flip it around and you’ll find an 18-carat pink gold octagonal frame holding the caseback’s glare-proof sapphire crystal in place. It also showcases the words ‘Royal Oak Concept Limited Edition’, fitting for the style that’s limited to 102 pieces in the world.

The final touch? A bronze-toned alligator strap with a pearly finish that comes complete with a matching 18K pink gold AP folding clasp.
