Should you be heading out this weekend, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a new pop-up to discover. Indeed, Ralph Lauren has just opened the doors to its RL 888 ephemeral space. The first of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, it celebrates its new icon, the RL 888 handbag collection.

The curvacious space greets guests with the iconic RL monogram against a unique brass backdrop that makes for the perfect OOTD photo op. The sophisticated interior features warm metal tones set against richly stained mahogany. Step within and you’ll find the whole range which embodies all the designer’s signature codes.

Comprising a crossbody, top-handle and mini crossbody chain, the RL 888 series is designed with timelessness in mind. They feature defined angles and dramatic curves, all inspired by the iconic architecture of New York City. Each is clearly a nod to the American brand’s roots in Manhattan, as well as its flagship’s address at 888 Madison Avenue.

The RL 888 collection lets you pick from an assortment of box calf leathers and exotic fabrications for made-to-order designs. Skilful artisans in Florence then top each creation with a sleek RL logo which doubles as a push lock closure. The hardware comes in options of brass, champagne and palladium finish.

Also, be sure to check out the collection’s centrepiece, the RL 888 Box Calfskin Top Handle in grey. Exclusive to the pop-up in Southeast Asia, it sits alongside a curation of key items from the brand’s Purple Label, as well as apparel and accessories from the Ralph Lauren Collection.

Can’t wait to check out Ralph Lauren’s new RL 888 collection in person? The pop-up is happening now until 22 October at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands’ Grand Colonnade South on Level 1. It opens daily from 10.30 am to 10 pm on Sundays to Thursdays, and 10.30am to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
