Cartier’s Love has been making waves since its launch in 1969. Designed by Aldo Cipullo, who also created the Juste un Clou, the iconic bracelet features two jewelled bands that form a perfect oval when wrapped around the wrist.
Secured with the jeweller’s special screwdriver, the #CartierLove bracelet is seen as a precious symbol that signifies the permanence of love. Over the years, the Love family gradually expanded. The Love ring entered the scene in 1978, followed by the very first white gold Love bracelet in 1993. Cartier then unveiled a rose gold Love bracelet in 2002.
Today, Cartier launched a new treatment for the Love, giving both yellow gold and white gold bracelets a brushed finish. Besides offering a softer look, this brushed treatment also makes the Love bracelet less prone to scratches. It’s perfect for those who love the unisex style but prefer something more understated.
One of the key characteristics of the Love lies in its screw detailing. This intentionally visible element cleverly conceals the functional components that actually secure the bracelet in place. These screws deliberately have a polished finish to contrast against the brushed metal band of the Love bracelet.
You will be glad to find that the new brushed versions carry the same pricing as the OG bracelets. Which means the yellow gold and white gold styles retail at SGD10,500 and SGD11,300 respectively.
