It’s easy to think that puffy bags can only be cute and casual. But as it turns out, pillow-fied bags can be elegant too, as Roger Vivier’s Viv’ Choc Bag proves. The shoulder bag, which was originally inspired by the iconic Choc heel that the maison created in 1959, receives a padded makeover this season.

The flap bag design showcases curved corners reminiscent of the boundary-pushing concave arched heels. Influenced by couture techniques, buttery soft nappa lambskin leather is mounted and tucked meticulously by hand. The result is a symmetrical finish that fans out from its eye-catching centrepiece, the maison’s distinctive rectangular buckle.

Good looks aside, it measures a functional 24 cm by 12.5 cm and offers multiple ways of carrying. The main compartment contains an interior pocket and zip compartment for easy organisation.

There’s an exterior back pocket as well, for fuss-free quick access. The accompanying detachable chain strap features decorative links in tonal shades or polished palladium.

Priced at SGD5980, the feminine and sophisticated Viv’ Choc Bag currently comes in three colours. You’ll find it in classic Black, nude Blush and rich Bordeaux, with the signature clasp in either 3D resin or chrome finish. Which will it be for you?
