Every now and then, Prada dips into its century-rich archives for some inspiration. As is the case for many of the Italian maison’s beloved re-editions, and the focus of today’s post.

Feast your eyes on its latest Arqué bag, a sleek interpretation of an archival silhouette from the 2000s. As its name (which translates to ‘arch’) suggests, the bag is defined by a curved silhouette crafted entirely in leather. Both sculptural and structured, this crescent moon creation boasts clean lines and a modernist allure. Signing off with just a signature triangular logo plaque on the front, it ticks all the right boxes for minimalists.

The Arqué shoulder bag is also a functional size, measuring 22.5 cm wide and 18.5 cm high. A zipper closure then secures all your daily essentials within its nappa leather interior. It also packs a useful patch pocket for cards and such. And because versatility is key, the ingenious design comes with a leather handle as well as a shoulder strap.

Both are detachable and adjustable for different ways of wear. The curved top handle lets you hold it in hand, tuck it beneath the shoulder, or hang it from the crook of the elbow. Prefer to wear it longer across the body? Then simply attach the shoulder strap to tailor the bag to your liking.

Priced at SGD3500, Prada's Arqué leather shoulder bag is available in a choice of four colours. Choose from Black, Cognac and White, as well as an online exclusive shade, Travertine. And if smaller is better for you, you’ll be glad to know there’s also an 18 cm by 16 cm mini (SGD3350) that comes in black or white.
