Good news for those who love something heartwarmingly old yet refreshingly new. Several vintage designs are making a comeback at Louis Vuitton in new sizes and materials. Take, for example, the Chantilly and Saumur, two recently revived styles worth adding to your ever-growing bag collection.
First released in 1978, the Chantilly was a roomy messenger that immediately became a go-to for everyday use. While the new size isn’t the most practical, the 13 cm by 12.5 cm Micro Chantilly (SGD2350) is perfect for the fervent followers of miniature bags. Fun and adorable, it comes in Monogram Canvas with a magnetic flap closure and removable leather shoulder strap.
Named after the city in France’s Loire Valley, the saddle-inspired Saumur bag is back in Louis Vuitton’s repertoire in an all-new BB size. Unlike the original, you need no longer struggle with the buckle because it’s transformed into a fuss-free magnetic closure.
The strap is also removable and adjustable this time, while an extra leather top handle converts the crossbody into an under-the-arm hobo. Measuring 20 cm by 16 cm, the Saumur BB has pre-launched exclusively online in Monogram Canvas (SGD3550) and Epi Leather (SGD3900) in Noir or Safran. Both feature gold-tone hardware and a contrasting LV Circle emblem in the middle.
