When Dior released J’adore EDP back in 1999, it became an instant hit thanks to its seductive blend of ylang ylang, rose and jasmine. It featured the now iconic gold-wrapped falcon inspired by the maison’s famous Maasai-style chokers.
Since then, the brand has created various iterations of the unique scent for every mood. Besides its signature floral EDP and EDT compositions, the J’adore family now includes the EDP Infinissime. This 2020 launch offers headier florals, woody accents and citrus notes. Many consider this infinite trail the sensual sister to the sunny J’adore.
Then in 2022, Dior introduced Parfum d’eau, a game-changing alcohol-free perfume composed with simply water and flowers.
Housed in a new opalescent white bottle, the poetic bouquet blends Chinese magnolia with the jasmine and rose base. Furthermore, a radiant neroli note brightens the sensual and spontaneous cocktail.
This brings us to the latest launch, the L’Or de J’adore by Parfums Christian Dior’s perfume creation director Francis Kurkdjian. He prunes, isolates and exaggerates elements of J’adore’s floral bouquet with a masterful balance. While extrapolating notes of jasmine and rose, nuances of lily of the valley and violet shine through more prominently.
The resulting fresh and contemporary interpretation is a softer, more rounded version of the original. Can’t wait to catch a whiff of this new olfactory masterpiece? Priced at SGD306 for 50 ml, L’Or de J’adore is now available online via Dior Beauty’s e-boutique, as well as all Dior Beauty boutiques and counters.
