Built for both men and women, Cartier’s Tank Américaine watch clearly plays on its curves. Part of the extended Tank family, its beautifully curved rectangular design takes inspiration from the Tank Cintrée circa 1921. The artful creation straddles form and function perfectly, its sleek lines taking centrestage amidst the rounded edges.
The Tank Américaine has undergone several tweaks since its launch in 1988. This year, the French watchmaker updates the iconic timepiece once again to give it a more ergonomic finish. This is mostly reflected in the perfect integration of rounded brancards and extension of the watch strap.

Then there's the curved caseback, which lets it wrap around the wrist for style and all-day comfort. Aside from the aesthetically pleasing update, the new large model showcases the Manufacture 1899 MC mechanical movement.
At the same time, the mini and small versions will feature Cartier’s in-house quartz movement. Materials include steel, rose gold and white gold, with brancards on selected models decked out in diamonds.
There’s currently no word on prices, but the new Tank Américaine is slated for a launch in September 2023 at all three Cartier boutiques in ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre. In other words, it's time to embrace those curves.
