After years of creating bestselling round watches, the Swiss watchmaker is making new waves. This time, Swatch introduces an all-new square watch that draws inspiration from a 1982 prototype. It marks a significant milestone as the brand celebrates its 40th anniversary with a game-changing collection called What If?

Each What If? square watch showcases Swatch’s signature BIOCERAMIC. This innovative combination of bio-sourced components and ceramic powder forms an ultra-resistant material for everyday wear. Measuring 33 mm by 33 mm, a bio-sourced edge-to-edge glass case encapsulates the perfectly square timepiece.

Other features include glow-in-the-dark hands, as well as the day-date window at the three o’clock mark next to the crown. On the back, a unique dial pays tribute to one of the first Swatch watches (the GENT) from 1983. Last but not least, prepare to admire the new integrated bio-sourced strap with a tonal finish to match the watch case.

Now available for pre-order, the What If? square watch comes in four colours: Beige (with a blue dial), Black, Green and Grey. Priced at SGD150 each, shipment is slated to begin from 1 August after the official launch date. Who else is ready to make the switch to a square Swatch watch?
