You can always count on Saint Laurent as a go-to if you are looking to get a fun micro accessory for day or night. Such a companion should come in black, with gold-tone hardware, of course. Even better if the YSL initials or Saint Laurent Paris logo sit centrestage. Petite but functional, these five, each modelled after an icon of the house, are obvious shoo-ins.
Firstly, the tiniest of them all is the Lipstick Case in diamond-quilted lambskin. Measuring just 10 cm tall and 4 cm wide, this delicate accessory will fit exactly what its name suggests. You can also choose to remove the chain strap, so it doubles as a bag charm or belt accessory via the accompanying hook clasp.
Then there’s the Kate Tassel AirPods Micro Bag in grain de poudre embossed leather. This miniature even features its bigger sibling’s signature tassel strap attaching to the YSL Cassandre logo. The Gaby Micro Bag, on the other hand, is slightly roomier, offering enough space for cards and cash.
The last two are technically more mini than micro, even though Saint Laurent classifies them as micro bags. The Lou Mini Bag in quilted shiny leather needs little introduction. Measuring 19 cm by 10.5 cm, it works well as a crossbody bag for day-to-night hijinks. Lastly, you can’t leave out the 18 cm by 13.5 cm Vicky Minaudière, especially not with its shiny plexiglass finish that guarantees to turn heads wherever you go.
All five designs come with Saint Laurent’s signature gold-tone sling. Excellent choices for evenings, these micro offerings come in a pretty wide price range, starting from SGD850 for the Lipstick Case to SGD3440 for the Vicky Miniaudière.
