Only Watch launched in 2005 to raise funds for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Since then, specialised watchmakers all over the world participate in the biennial event. This year, 62 one-of-a-kind timepieces will be up for bidding at Christie’s in Geneva on 5 November 2023.
In the weeks preceding the auction, Singapore is one of eight major cities hosting a promotional tour around the world. Selected timepieces will be on display from 20 to 22 October at Malmaison by The Hour Glass.

For Only Watch’s 10th edition, Bvlgari creates a one-off Octo Finissimo Tourbillon timepiece. The BVL268 hand-wound manufacture movement boasts a 52-hour power reserve. Its 1.95 mm thickness makes it one of the thinnest models in the world with a major (flying tourbillon) complication. The 40 mm DLC-treated titanium case also pairs with a sapphire crystal caseback flashing the Only Watch logo.
This special 2023 edition gets even better with the striking green hue of Verde di Alpi marble from Aosta Valley. It required five years of research to fine-tune the placement of the marble on each link of the bracelet and case. Covering them entirely in marble before smoothing and polishing by hand is an intricate process that takes 190 hours.
Complete with a custom-made marble box, Bvlgari's Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Marble can be yours should you win Lot 15 at the Only Watch auction later this year. The successful bidder also enjoys a night’s stay at Bvlgari’s newest hotel in Rome, a meal with personnel from Bvlgari Horlogerie, as well as a tour of Villa Albani Torlonia to get up close with an extravagant collection of marble sculptures.
A one-of-a-kind timepiece that deserves a one-of-a-kind experience indeed.
