Here’s your first look at the queen of all Moynat creations. It’s the highly exclusive La Malle aux Trésors, which launches as part of the French maison’s made-to-order service. Combining exquisite trunk-making techniques with precious exotic materials, these bespoke sets are for those who appreciate the finer things in life.

Each set comprises four Gabrielle Nano bags in alligator, crocodile and lizard, complete with an accompanying trunk case. Involving the strictest selection process for quality, the quality of the scales reflect in their perfect symmetry. Fans of exotics can look forward to four stunning shades: Beige, Emerald, Ivory and Fuchsia.

Wondering why some of these exotic bags seem to carry a slight sheen? Well, that’s because the expert artisans at Moynat’s atelier incorporate a delicate technique previously reserved for couture creations. They give each skin an extra coating before applying the exceptional agate stone. This not only enhances its colour, but also imparts that beautiful glow.

Measuring just 18 cm by 15 cm, the Gabrielle Nano requires artisans to recreate specific features in miniature. For example, the M twist-lock, handles and of course, the trapezoid bag structure. The results are even more extraordinary when combined with the precious exotic skin.

Then there’s the accompanying hard-sided trunk, which measures 41 cm wide and 37 cm high. The precious birch wood case is covered entirely in Moynat’s signature Carbon/Bronze Canvas 1920. Secured with palladium locks, it houses all four Gabrielle Nano bags in individual compartments within. You can either carry it by hand on your travels, or let this conversation-starter brighten your home.
