With vintage silhouettes making a comeback of late, fashion houses like Louis Vuitton are reintroducing archival designs. The latest style relaunched for your consideration is the Wallet On Chain Ivy. Modelled after the Sac Recoleta bag that was all the rage back then, it features a simple front flap that conceals a gold-tone magnetic buckle.

Open it to reveal a spacious compartment with three dedicated card slots, along with an interior zip pocket. This is also the first time the French fashion house is wholly embracing the wallet-on-chain concept for its leather goods.

The Ivy features multiple elements that make it both a mini bag and an SLG. Measuring 23.5 cm by 12 cm, this updated version comes with a leather strap and gold-tone chain. Both are removable, so you can style the bag as you please.

It is available in classic Monogram Canvas (SGD2440), as well as in creamy Monogram Empreinte (SGD2630) leather embossed with the house’s oversized motif. So it’s just down to that age-old question. Will it be canvas or leather for you?
