Sharp in the right places. Sleek and minimal-looking without extra monograms or loud logos. Fendi officially introduces its latest number as the contemporary alternative to its signature Peekaboo. The Peekaboo Cut is a trapezoid style that’s devoid of a top handle. In its place, a horizontal metallic bar that doubles up as its central partition. Another noticeable feature is the chain with O’Lock embellishments, which functions as a chic strap long enough to sling casually over the shoulder.
Love a handbag that stands on its own when you put it down? Then you’ll find that the Peekaboo Cut fits your criteria. Its trapezoidal design sees the base fanning out to form a wide platform for added balance and structure. You may remember the 34 cm by 18.5 cm Peekaboo Cut Medium, which featured extensively on Fendi’s Spring-Summer 2023 runway show.
Retailing at SGD6700, it comes in six colours, starting with standard hues in Beige, Black and Brown. Together with seasonal variations in (an almost-neon) Green, Light Green and Pink, all six come complete with vintage palladium-finish hardware. Or dare to stand out from the crowd with exotic offerings in full crocodile leather. These come in dual-colour combinations of Brown and Dove Grey paired with green and pink hardware respectively.
What you may not know is that the Peekaboo Cut is also available in a petite size. Significantly cuter at 20.5 cm wide and 14 cm high, this comes in Beige and Black leather. Fashioned with two compartments fully lined in soft nappa leather, the Peekaboo Cut Petite comes in at SGD5950. Whether you prefer the petite or medium sizes, there’s so much to love about the Peekaboo Cut. All that’s left is to visit the Fendi boutique to try them on in person.
