Not many bags command attention quite like Bottega Veneta's Knot. The oval shape with simple knotted hardware won significant praise for its elegant and discreet silhouette early on. Eventually it attained its distinct must-have status at the Italian fashion house. This season, Matthieu Blazy brings back the Knot in a style reminiscent of the OG version from Tomas Maier’s era.
The reintroduced evening bag features padded interwoven leather for a tactile appeal. The use of 100 percent lambskin leather on its exterior further contributes to its buttery soft finish. Its signature woven detailing is what makes this a tried-and-tested signature, of course. Unlike recent reinterpretations, this Knot (SGD4930, 19 cm by 11.5 cm) is designed sans extra strap or modernised plisse detailing. The eponymous knot hardware is also slightly different going forward. It now carries the effect of two metallic ropes intertwined and cut at the edges.
Available in five different colours, Black, Space and Thunder are some of the sexier hues offered. Alternatively, opt for pastels tones of Celadon (baby blue) and Travertine (olive green). A revival, and an ode to the original Knot that's one more bag for you to love.
