It is no secret that Bao Bao Issey Miyake likes to get creative with its bags. Besides its recognisable totes of triangle formations, here’s another fun new design that you’ll spot from a mile away. Meet the roomy, new bucket bag that features the same geometric details that the label is famous for.
This time, the innovative carrier pieces parallel quadrilateral fragments together to form a striking three-dimensional striped exterior. Crafted in Japan, the soft yet structured PVC creation will easily fit your daily needs. Thanks to its wide base, the bag can stand on its own while offering greater capacity.
The bucket opens via a top magnetic button closure, which you can choose to leave unfastened to fit more within. Its main compartment also offers an internal zip pocket to keep smaller bits and bobs easily within reach. Carry it via its top handle, which can tilt back and forth, just like an actual bucket’s, for easy access.
And because everyone loves choices, the bucket is available in two sizes. Small measures 15 cm by 19 cm, with a 13 cm depth and 11 cm handle drop. This is ideal for toting around your daily necessities like your phone, wallet and keys. There’s also the large that stands at 17 cm by 25 cm, with a 16 cm depth and 17 cm handle drop. This can fit additional items like a foldable umbrella and small water bottle.
Just like all Bao Bao Issey Miyake creations, these come in a selection of colours. This season, look forward to muted matte shades like Light Brown and Light Grey. There are also two multicolour versions, with prices from SGD815 for the small and SGD1015 for the large.
