Louis Vuitton’s inspiration behind the Monogram Clutch is pretty straightforward. Think along the lines of vintage aumônières (pleated purses, not modern-day mini dumplings) enlarged to full-size proportions before receiving a chic top handle and heritage trunk elements. The gold-tone S-Lock sets the tone in front, flanked by boxy metallic corners from the iconic Petite Malle clutch bag.

Each Monogram Clutch features a supple base that makes it an absolute joy to use. With ample room for all your essentials, the 28 cm by 14 cm bag can last a full day out. Pairing casual good looks with adequate dressy elements, it works equally well for both mornings and evenings.

That’s not all. Louis Vuitton packs in retractable clasps on both sides that are perfect for holding the detachable chain. This gives it another element of versatility, converting the top-handle bag to a hands-free style in no time at all. The chain’s 30 cm drop length, while not intended as a crossbody bag, is ideal for slinging over the shoulder.

You can now get your hands on three new variations launched in Singapore. There’s one in Monogram Canvas (SGD4950) paired with natural leather elements, followed by the chic Nanogram (SGD5650) if you fancy a full-leather option.

Lastly, the bold Multicolour Coated Canvas (SGD6400) that whimsically resembles French café chairs, thanks to the interlaced canvas strips. Very French, very Louis Vuitton.
