The H08 watch ticked all the right boxes when Hermès first unveiled it in 2021. Presented in a cushion-shape case, it features some hour markers designed to look like the Chaine d’Ancre. Thanks to such contemporary elements that creative director Philippe Delhotal dreamt up, the H08 was officially inducted into the enigmatic Hermès Horloger universe.

Were you one of the lucky fans who made a trip to the Hermès In The Making exhibition last year? If so, you might find the timepiece a tad familiar. One of its stations, which featured an artisan at work, offered a close-up view of how parts of the H08 come together in meticulous fashion.

This year, Hermès takes the H08 to all-new heights, with this pre-launch ahead of Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023. Continuing to emphasise its sporty codes and urban sophistication, the new edition comes in a decadent combination of materials.

The black DLC-treated titanium case-back is integrated within a rose gold case, complete with a black ceramic bezel and crown. This results in two different finishes, satin-brushed and polished, in one stunning timepiece. Even the strap matches with the case, coming in black rubber with black/anthracite fabric webbing.

Juxtaposed against the twin finishings, the H08’s luminescent golden hands and Arabic numerals enjoy enhanced legibility. In addition, the date sits cleverly between 4 and 5 o’clock. It also comes with a 45-hour power reserve, thanks to the mechanical self-winding Hermès H1837 movement.

While the H08 is set to launch at EUR15,750, stay tuned for more information on the price and availability in Singapore.
