Bowler bags made a comeback in 2022, thanks to their easy-to-carry shape, rounded handles and practical format making them a breeze for daily use. They typically have curved upper corners that make them look like reverse half-moon hobo bags. And if you love a bowler bag with monograms and Gucci’s iconic webbing detailing, don’t miss out on the Italian fashion house’s latest rendition.
Launching as part of the Ophidia line with the GG gold-tone detailing, Gucci’s freshest take comes in mini-size. Measuring 21 cm wide and 12 cm high, it opens via a zip closure to reveal a roomy fabric-lining interior. The spacious compartment is approximately 10 cm deep, with a single card slot at the back. Like most bowler bags, its wide base will accommodate all your daily needs.
Gucci’s Ophidia Mini GG Top Handle Bag (SGD2750) comes in Beige/Ebony and Beige/White GG Supreme canvas. A third option features the beautiful floral pattern created by the late artist Vittorio Accornero. First appearing in the 1960s, the multi-colour print now dresses up the contemporary Ophidia bag (SGD3120).
All three styles boast dual top handles and a detachable canvas strap. Green and red webbing complements the GG Supreme versions, while the seasonal interpretation, which is available exclusively online, is paired with a blue and red style to match its darker colour profile.
