Beyond the wonderful world of Dior’s Cruise 2023 collection lies even more goodies for you to marvel over. One extraordinary piece is a hard-sided case that’s a special creation for the season. Called the Small Trunk, it truly exemplifies the house’s savoir-faire to perfection.

The Small Trunk comes fully decorated in Roman artist Pietro Ruffo’s Rêve d’Infini motif. His dreamy pattern comprises a mix of flowers, the Sevillian knot and the signature compass rose. This time it is hand-painted on calfskin leather using the Sbalzo technique. The intricate leatherwork creates a 3D-like effect, thanks to meticulous sculpting.

Dior did not share the exact dimensions, except that it will fit a Micro Lady Dior. Approximately 12 cm wide and 10.2 cm high, this is sold separately, of course. The Small Trunk also makes for the perfect case to hold precious jewellery pieces and small timepieces. All of which you can store safely within its padded interior.

The luxurious Small Trunk is retailing at SGD19,500, and is currently available in blue multi-colour Rêve d’Infini in Sbalzo calfskin leather. Further enhancements include antique gold-tone detailing on the CD lock, as well as on the trimmings and reinforced corners.

One of the rare showings of hard-sided cases at the French fashion house, the Small Trunk is something no ardent collector/fan of Dior should resist.
