Is wheeling your metallic suitcase around is not big enough of a statement-maker? Rimowa ups the ante with a brand new rendition inspired by the beautiful Northern lights. Feast your eyes on the Original Cabin Aurora Borealis, a stunning creation featuring a gradient overlay of green and violet hues on a black aluminium exterior.

Continuing its galactic journey of Mars, Mercury and Moon-inspired suitcases, the Original Cabin Aurora Borealis officially joins the galaxy. This limited-edition release sees only 1000 numbered pieces, a specific figure relating to the speed of charged solar particles entering the earth’s magnetic field.

The Original Cabin Aurora Borealis is crafted in Cologne, Germany. Using Rimowa’s signature aluminium anodising technique, it forms a cool optical illusion all around. A closer look will reveal little stars, and the suitcases seemingly glow around the edges, thanks to special green seals.

Retailing at SGD2630, each suitcase comes with an anodised aluminium badge. A RIMOWA leather luggage tag unique to the Original Cabin Aurora Borealis also accompanies it. Selected pieces will land at Rimowa Singapore boutiques from 3 November, so watch out for it.
