When Rimowa decided to do a sports-inspired collaboration, it made perfect sense that they partnered with Adidas to create a small capsule comprising a backpack and sneakers. After all, both are German brands that dominate the world of travel and sportswear respectively. So expect only the best of the best to arrive in Singapore on 17 November 2022.

Now, this isn’t Rimowa’s first backpack; there are currently two styles in the Never Still range. However, it is the first-ever aluminium backpack done in collaboration with Adidas. Called the Rimowa x Adidas NMD_Backpack, it comes with padded shoulder straps that guarantee to sit comfortably over the shoulder.

The grooved aluminium gets a khaki finish, with an extra pop of orange detailing on the outdoor-ready elements. There’s also an extra carabiner, thumb loops, rope straps and a top handle for maximum mobility on the go.

Expect to find a detachable gusset housing two spacious pockets and a dedicated slot for a 16-inch laptop, while the central compartment stores everything else you need for outdoor adventures and backpacking trips.

The German pair also changed the game with the Adidas NMD_S1 sneakers, reinterpreting the iconic silhouette with a cool urban attitude. This pair boasts a Primeknit upper and Adidas Boost midsole for utmost comfort. Rendered in a titanium-inspired hue and made in Germany, each sneaker also sports the coordinates of both brands’ headquarters.

The Adidas NMD_S1 sneakers retails at SGD380, while you can expect to pay SGD2670 for the NMD_Backpack. Both items are available in limited quantities at Adidas and Rimowa boutiques in Singapore, so you know what to do.
