What do you get someone who has an interest in design and feels the pull of cultural horizons? It may be a daunting challenge, but Aesop has some Christmas sets that are the perfect gift contenders. Coined The Poetry of Place, its holiday collection tells stories of local culture and neighbourly connections.

Aptly named, the brand’s design philosophy shape each poetic set. They are packaged in gift-ready recycled paper pulp boxes designed to evoke the form of a particular Aesop store. In addition, each comes in a recyclable sleeve that includes information about the architecture of the relevant boutique, as well as a playful guide to the area.

Altogether, there are four seasonal assortments to pick from. Firstly, a Geranium Leaf body care duo called Igneous (SGD63). It comes in a box that recalls the singular stone façade of Aesop’s Pitt Street store in Sydney. Secondly, Industrious (SGD93), a triptych of hand care. Its packaging takes inspiration from the cloistered space of Aesop Sounds Hannam, Seoul.

Next, look out for Congruous (SGD150), with a set design that pays homage to the store in downtown Los Angeles. It offers a quartet of hand and body formulations. Lastly, Precipitous (SGD265), a trio of Parsley Seed skin care. Its packaging recalls the scaffolding-type features of Aesop New Town Plaza, Hong Kong.
