Haven’t made any plans for the weekend? Then consider visiting Vacheron Constantin’s ‘The Anatomy Of Beauty’ exhibition, which runs from 16 October to 2 November 2022. Held at Level 4 of the ArtScience Museum, you can explore three speciality areas that showcase exclusive timepieces. They will offer insights into five horological complications, as well as the artisans’ technical expertise.

The first area is aptly named ‘Our Heritage: A Legacy As Precious As Time’. Vacheron Constantin takes you through its watchmaking history since 1755, and you get to appreciate two heritage pieces up close. First, the Pocket Watch in yellow gold, set with amethysts and guilloché gold dial from 1822. Second, the impressive Tour de I’lle from 2005 that features 16 complications on the double-face display.

Moving on, ‘The Anatomy Of Beauty’ showcases Vacheron Constantin’s commitment to craftsmanship. This dedicated area demonstrates the craftsmanship of expert artisans and how they fine-tune each element with utmost precision. See the precious guilloché technique on the dial, wow at the gem-set minute track, and admire the Maltese cross emblem along the links of the bracelet.

Finally, experience ‘Science And Complications’, an in-depth look into five horological complications at Vacheron Constantin. This includes Tourbillon, Split-Seconds Chronograph, Retrograde, Perpetual Calendar and Minute-Repeater.

The refining of innovative techniques over the years are evident in the split-seconds chronograph on the 1939 18k Yellow Gold Pocket Watch, as well as Vacheron Constantin’s ultra-thin Patrimony with the minute-repeater complication that chimes at regular intervals.

After visiting the exhibit (you can book your appointment slot via this link), head over to the Vacheron Constantin boutique within Marina Bay Sands to see its current #OneOfNotMany timepieces. From the elegant Égérie to the exquisite Historiques 222, it’s time to embrace their legacy that’s ‘as precious as time’.
