If you love an amber floral fragrance, wait till you get your nose on Prada’s latest Paradoxe EDP. Bottling the quintessential essence of the ever-evolving Prada woman, the avant-garde scent embraces all contradictory dimensions of scent and self.
Built on sustainably sourced ingredients, the perfume opens with citrusy and fruity top notes of tangerine, pear and bergamot. A crisp white floral bouquet heart then comes into bloom, alongside jasmine, orange blossom and vanilla.
The sweet cocktail then adds unexpected dimensions, starting with freshness from neroli. Secondly, ambrofix (a bio-converted amber typically used in masculine scents) delivers sexuality. And finally, intensity with serenolide (a revolutionary musk molecule) wraps up an intimate trail that’s woody and sensual.
Staying true to the maison’s minimalist yet bold aesthetic, the delicate pink coral juice is presented in an instantly recognisable triangular bottle. Topped with a contrasting black cap, the glass bottle softened by rounded edges is an interpretation of Prada’s iconic logo.
And as an extension of the house’s commitment to sustainability, all sizes of Prada’s Paradoxe are refillable. The environmentally conscious practice avoids using more materials, thanks to a 100 ml refill (SGD198). Simply unscrew the perfume bottle’s spray cap, fit the non-drip nozzle of the elongated refill in and watch your empty bottle fill up.
Retailing at SGD130 for 30 ml, SGD185 for 50 ml and SGD265 for 90 ml, the Paradoxe EDP is now available at Prada boutiques and Prada fragrance counters at selected department stores.
