In homage to its trunk-making heritage, Moynat officially introduces the Sac Malle to its ever-growing collection of fine leather goods. The bag carries an air of simplicity and elegance, right down to its no-frills name, which translates to ‘trunk bag’, or Sac Malle.
The highlight of the bag lies in the dual sliding straps that take inspiration from vintage steamer trunk handles. You can choose to carry the Sac Malle via the top handle, as you would a trunk. Alternatively, slide your palm through its counterpart on the front flap and hold it like a clutch.

While the exterior remains free of any unnecessary hardware, an Art Deco-inspired metallic M-clasp is placed discreetly beneath the flap. A gentle tug reveals a roomy interior with multiple slots and gusseted compartments to fit your daily needs. If that’s not enough, find an additional slip pocket at the back as well.
The 21 cm by 18 cm unisex Sac Malle (SGD6400) features smooth Veau Rêve calfskin leather in a single colour throughout. Thanks to its waxy finish, the leather carries a slight shine, with palladium hardware to match. The new Lavande, which arrived over the weekend, joins Azure, Capucine, Chlorophylle and Cognac, giving you five colours to choose from.
As with most Moynat bags, the Sac Malle is handcrafted by the maison’s technical artisans in France. Key techniques like saddle-stitching and bridge-stitching are evident, and all edges feature contrasting dye for added pops of colour. Perfect for those who appreciate beauty in simplicity.
