Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami has captured many hearts with enigmatic prints ranging from smiling flowers to Mr DOB. Taking inspiration from the world of anime and manga, he is one of the more progressive artists on the scene.

Besides NFT launches and numerous popular collaborations (who can forget his game-changing designs with Louis Vuitton?), his works also extend to merchandise. You can get your hands on the official designs at reputable sites like MoMA Design Store and Gagosian Shop. These are both retail shops of the respective art museum and gallery.

At MoMA Design Store, you will find an eclectic mix, beginning with the Takashi Murakami Jigsaw Puzzle (SGD66). It’s a reproduction of the artist’s signature three-panel painting featuring Mr DOB. There’s also the Takashi Murakami Flower Pancake Pan (SGD59), with a raised outline of the inimitable flower in stainless steel. And ahead of the holiday season, a set of Takashi Murakami Christmas Flowers Holiday Cards (SGD32).

Gagosian Shop has a nice selection of the artist’s latest NFT works, along with other signature patterns. For instance, the decorative skulls and camouflage on the Takashi Murakami Camo-Skull Skateboard Deck (USD225). Two other pieces of note come from the Takashi Murakami Murakami.Flowers #0000 collection. The mug (USD25) features pixelated graphics of the Superflat flower, and the floor mat (USD225) has die-cut sides following the motifs’ pixel-like edges.

Rounding up the lot is the all-new UNO Artiste Takashi Murakami (SGD40) card game. Available at local retailers like Toys “R” Us, this fun deck includes numerous Murakami prints for endless fun. It packs a mini poster of the signature smiling flowers to serve as a tabletop display as well.
