Stella McCartney is famous for raising the bar for sustainable fashion. Now, the British fashion designer is doing the same for beauty with her new skincare line, Stella by Stella McCartney. The conscious luxury line echoes the designer’s eco mission, offering products that care for the users and Mother Earth equally.
Based on her philosophy of using only what you need, the pared down range comprises just three essential products. Each item in the minimalist routine uses 99 percent natural-origin ingredients in its formulation. Also certified vegan, they aim to support skin’s key functions of regeneration and protection.
To start, there’s the Reset Cleanser (SGD99 for 150 ml). Brimming with sunflower oil, organic birch sap and marine spring water, it gently removes makeup and the day’s impurities. The two-in-one cleanser also does so while hydrating and respecting skin’s pH levels.
Follow that up with the hero product, the Alter-Care Serum (SGD215 for 50 ml). Packing a wealth of active ingredients rich in essential nutrients, the ultra-nourishing do-it-all formula hydrates, revitalises and renews skin.
Lastly, the Restore Cream (SGD165 for 50 ml) that offers a dose of extra comfort with a lightweight texture. The reparative moisturiser contains natural-origin hyaluronic acid and cherry blossom extract to firm and deeply hydrate.
It’s worth noting that the sensorial delights also feature a beautiful High Cliff scent. Its creation is in collaboration with renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, who took inspiration from Scotland. The line’s signature fragrance similarly uses natural-origin ingredients and is suitable for all skin types and tones, even sensitive skin.
And since the brand is all about eco-responsibility in every sense, its products feature a refill system. The chic bottles they come in are made with recycled glass and reusable. All details are thought out, right down to the pump in the bottles, which can be reused as well.
