If you’re a fan of Parisian fragrance house Ex Nihilo, here’s some good news. You can now shop all your favourite perfumes, scented candles and body care delights at its new store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre.

Outfitted in the French maison’s signature wood, white marble, metal brass and royal blue colour scheme, the Ex Nihilo space offers the same distinctive feel as its flagship at Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. While the front of the house is dedicated to Ex Nihilo, there’s a bonus. It shares the spacious boutique with two other niche fragrance brands, Parfums de Marly and Roja Parfums.

For those who are new to the brand, Ex Nihilo is famous for reinterpreting the classic way of perfume production. Founded in 2013 by a young trio in Paris, it challenges the traditional approach of mass-producing perfumes. Instead, it offers a niche collection of modern scents using splendid raw materials.

Also setting it apart is its pioneering Osmologue machine that allows the wearer to customise a fragrance. This bespoke experience is currently only available at its flagships in London, Paris, and New York, however. But for now, the new store offers plenty to discover, with ready-to-wear perfumes spanning five collections.

There’s Babylone featuring quintessential oriental cocktails, and Iconoclaste offering contemporary Parisian blends. Initiale puts a twist on the finest materials of perfumery, while Les Interdites showcases a playful and subversive mix. Finally, there’s Visionnaire, for discerning collectors and perfume connoisseurs.
