While refillable beauty products aren’t new, more brands are moving towards minimising waste for a more eco-friendly approach. Besides refillable skincare jars and makeup compacts, there’s been growth in refillable fragrances too, letting you make the most out of empty perfume bottles.

Ready to reduce and reuse? Here are four fragrances that can always be replenished for a more sustainable choice.

01 – Dior is rolling out more fragrance refill options for its iconic Sauvage line. A new EDP Refill (SGD420 for 300 ml) and Parfum Refill (SGD472 for 300 ml) will be joining its existing EDT Refill come mid-September.

Made from fully recycled aluminium, the recyclable can allows you to top up your empty Sauvage bottles at home. Simply place the refill head down and screw it onto the neck of the bottle. Its integrated mechanism will do the rest. The refill process stops precisely after a minute when the bottle is full, without wasting a single drop. DIOR

02 – Earlier this year, Guerlain launched its refreshed line of Aqua Allegoria fragrances. Now even more sustainable, the new scents contain up to 95 percent ingredients of natural origin. Each comes in a redesigned bottle that you can refill indefinitely.

Made with 15 percent recycled glass, the eco-design bottles now come with a screw pump. It’s compatible with its user-friendly glass refills (SGD277 for 200 ml) to extend your bottle’s life cycle. Just manually unscrew the perfume’s spray cap, fit the non-drip nozzle in and watch your empty bottle refill. GUERLAIN

03 – Run out of your favourite Le Labo fragrance? Simply take it back to the store for a refill at a 20 percent discount. Besides saving some money, you’ll be minimising waste too.

The brand offers the refill program at both its Singapore labs at L1-36 The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and B1-31 Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Simply bring your 50 ml, 100 ml or 500 ml empty Le Labo fragrance bottle in. They’ll refill it with a fresh, handmade batch of the original scent you purchased. LE LABO

04 – Louis Vuitton has always been about making creations that are sure to last. This includes its perfumes that come in refillable, eco-friendly bottles. Their airtight mechanism even allows them to be refilled while staying closed, thus retaining the perfume’s full potency.

Don’t toss out the glass flacon once it’s empty. Instead, take it back to a Louis Vuitton boutique that has a range of perfume fountains for a refill (from SGD265 for 100 ml). This concept took inspiration from Fontaines Parfumées, master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud’s atelier in Grasse. LOUIS VUITTON
