Now an icon of the house, Louis Vuitton’s Petite Malle comes in a beautiful assortment of shapes and sizes. Some of the newer styles are the Petite Malle Souple and Petite Malle East-West, which push the boundaries of the traditional trunk-inspired handbag. For Fall-Winter 2022, Nicolas Ghesquière has gone one step further with the new Petite Malle V.
‘V’ refers to the bag’s gusseted format; it fans out to form an inverted V-shape when viewed from the side. Think of it as the Petite Malle expanded right in the middle, giving you a beautifully structured handbag that’s extra roomy to boot, measuring 24 cm wide and 16 cm high. What’s more, you will find a bonus monogram flat clutch (with a gold-tone chain) on the interior. This can be removed and used separately as a petite SLG.
Retailing for SGD9300 for the one in classic monogram with black leather trims, the second option in yellow mother-of-pearl is a truly exquisite style not to be missed. Coming in higher at SGD13,000, this opulent creation come with hammered gold-tone hardware. Brown leather trims further add to its charm and appeal for day-to-evening use.
