Did you know that Paris’ Longchamp Racecourse was the inspiration for naming of the French fashion house? Its founder Jean Cassegrain was deeply fascinated by the famous 57-hectare horse-racing course. He eventually chose the ‘jockey on a horse’ as the emblem of the house, and it’s been so ever since.

Through the years, it’s most notable on the zipper pulls of the iconic Le Pliage. Now, Longchamp has upsized the logo and converted it into a pale gold-tone medallion on the upcoming Box-Trot handbag. With a boxy shape created for the contemporary lady, the structured silhouette fits all her daily essentials with ease.

The use of smooth calfskin gives the Box-Trot an elegant finish. It will come in five colours that will leave you spoilt for choice. The mini, small and medium Box-Trot sizes will appear in Black, Cognac, Cypress, Lilac and Orange.

Consider this an introduction to Longchamp’s Box-Trot line, with the reveal of the exact dimensions in time to come. In the meantime, feast your eyes on the sleek handbag ahead of the official launch on 30 August in Singapore. Save the date!
