Named after Monsieur Christian Dior’s sister, Catherine, the Dior’s much-loved Caro was also Catherine’s nickname to close friends and family members. An instant classic since it was launched, it sits alongside familiar favourites like the Lady Dior and 30 Montaigne. The quilted Cannage motif on the bag’s exterior is one of its most recognisable signatures.

An easy-to-wear flap bag with a rectangular silhouette, it comes with an extra long CD chain strap. This offers multiple ways of carrying it across the body. The strap is also removable, which turns the Caro into a clutch in an instant.

While most offerings came mainly in calfskin and lambskin leather, Dior has just introduced them in lightweight linen. These versions feature a larger quilted motif aptly called Macrocannage.

The hardware also differs, depending on the bag’s colour, so you’ll find yourself looking at three completely different styles. Ruthenium-finished hardware complements the black in medium (SGD5800), making it one tone darker than the pale silver adorning the green in the small size (SGD5300).

As for the small Rose des Vents, Dior has opted to dress it up with rose gold hardware. The result is the sweetest combination like no other.
