Here’s some tweed-tastic news for those who can’t get enough of Chanel’s signature fabric. The emblematic material has been inextricably linked with the house since Gabrielle Chanel disrupted wardrobes nearly a century ago. Her first tweed creations now serve as inspiration for Chanel Beauty’s 2022 eye collection, Les 4 Ombres Tweed.

The new launch sees the iconic Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palette undergo special tweed treatment. Four exclusive creations showcase a tweed pattern embossed on the surface of each shade. Within each palette, four-colour harmonies capture the creative worth of the fabric.

The first harmony is Tweed Fauve, a combination of earthy and fiery hues. Brick orange, aubergine brown, satin coral and amber gold bring radiance and warmth to the eyes. There’s also Tweed Cuivre with shimmering brownish plum, coppery brown, gold and bronze. These evoke the richness of the precious metals dear to Gabrielle Chanel.

If you prefer pinks and mauves, don’t miss Tweed Pourpre that offers satiny and iridescent tones. It comprises peachy pink, rose, plum and a golden mauve that can easily create romantic to audacious looks. Lastly, Tweed Brun Et Rose, with four natural brown and beige tones. Rosy platinum, icy brown, chocolate and pink are perfect for any occasion.

To make the collection even more special, each compact comes with a gorgeous matching tweed sleeve. This craftsmanship is courtesy of Maison Lesage, which is part of Chanel’s Métiers d’art.

Also complementing these colour harmonies are two new shades of Stylo Yeux Waterproof (SGD39) eyeliners. Choose from Cuivre Dore (copper) for illumination or Bois Noir (deep brown) to add intensity.

Priced at SGD135, the limited-edition Les 4 Ombres Tweed eyeshadows will be available islandwide from 1 September 2022 at Chanel’s Fragrance & Beauty boutiques and counters, as well as online via the maison’s beauty e-shop.
