Calling all manga fans! Burberry’s Lola universe just got bigger, thanks to its recent partnership with Blue Period. The dynamic duo aims to capture new audiences with the manga series created by Tsubasa Yamaguchi. For those who don’t already know, Blue Period is an award-winning manga about high-schooler Yatora Yaguchi, who fell in love with painting and the world of art.

Since Yamaguchi won the 2020 Manga Taisho Grand Prize, this collaboration to create a one-off storyline featuring protagonists Yatora and Ryuji with Lola makes perfect sense. The latter has a strong personality and is bold, strong and a firm believer in self-expression. Of course, you often find these words associated with the charming quilted handbag too. Follow their journey through this limited-edition issue of Blue Period.

Are you one of the lucky ones based in Japan? Head over to all Burberry boutiques there from 20 August to pick up physical copies of the manga for free. And for everyone else, the entire issue is available to view at Burberry’s online store. You can also obtain mobile phone wallpapers drawn by Tsubasa Yamaguchi from Burberry’s official LINE account.
