Here to take ‘dad sandals’ to a whole new level is Balenciaga’s very own iteration, the Tourist Sandal. The triple strap format proved to be a popular option amongst the ladies. Now, the French fashion house aims to convert a new legion of fans with its chunky-chic style for both men and women.

Reminiscent of the everyday sandals worn by tourists in large groups, these cool kicks come in five colours, Black, Green, Neon Pink, Red and White. A breathable technical material makes up the sandal’s upper, while the chunky outsole comes in thick rubber for extra comfort. The ergonomic insole is a definite plus, with the shoe arch adding extra support with every step.

Each of the three straps boasts different Balenciaga logos. It starts at the front toe, with the BALENCIAGA font printed in black or white. The second strap at the mid-section has the Sporty B logo at the edge of the velcro tab. You’ll spot the third branding on the back of the heel strap.

Retailing at SGD975, the Tourist Sandal comes in plenty of sizes. These range from 34 to 42 for ladies and 39 to 47 for men, and with Balenciaga known for its sporty-cool footwear (think along the lines of the Triple S and Runner), you can expect the same with the latest Tourist Sandal.
