Ever since it made its first appearance as a collaboration with #DiorMen, Rimowa’s Personal has become a much-loved fixture at the German travel specialist.
And because it has been a while, here’s quick refresher for those who are new to the now iconic bag with with information on the make, prices and the size to help you fall in love with it (or add another to your collection) all over again.
As its name suggests, the Personal is designed to be kept close by your side at all times, functioning as a compact companion that will fit your mobile phone, wallet and various cards and cash within its neatly organised interior.
It’s available in two signature materials, the smooth grooved aluminium shell, as well as the hard-bodied polycarbonate, both of which are the same materials used in-house on the brand’s coveted luggage pieces.
The easiest way to describe it? Imagine a piece of luggage shrunk to tinier proportions measuring just 21.5 cm wide and 13 cm high. Meant to be carried as a clutch or worn across the body via its detachable leather strap, each bag is also relatively lightweight at just 630 grams, making this a suitable option for those sensitive to heavier bags.
Aside from Lavande (which is an APAC exclusive, by the way), the dent-resistant grooved polycarbonate bag (SGD1750) also comes in Azure Blue, Bamboo Green, Black, Rose and White, while the shiny grooved aluminium one (SGD2150) is currently available in Black and Silver. Which of these will it be for you?
