Remember the Dior Lock bag featured earlier this year? Well, it seems that Kim Jones (Dior’s current menswear creative director) has recently introduced several tweaks and updates in the new-in Dior Lock Case to make it a standout style this season.

One of the most apparent changes? It now comes in the emblematic CD Diamond canvas, a beautiful motif formed by placing numerous CD initials in a unique diamond arrangement. Consider this a modern update to Marc Bohan’s 1974 graphic CD Diamond, this time appearing in 3 different colours, Black, Coffee and a very specific shade known as Dior Grey.

The second update lies in a slight rejig of the lock placement. You will find it directly under the top handle now, so the rest of the bag (front, side and back) is given a streamlined boxy silhouette that’s extra pleasing to the eye.

Measuring 21.5 cm wide and 16.5 cm high, the structured Dior Lock Case can be carried by hand or worn together with the matching coloured shoulder strap.

Finishing touches include the D-I-O-R signature in ruthenium-coloured brass for Black and Dior Grey, while Coffee gets a tonal gold-coloured treatment to match the tan brown elements of the bag.

Priced at SGD6900, the Dior Lock Case looks set on becoming this season’s favourite, and the emblematic CD Diamond canvas certainly gives it extra charm all around.
