The Lola is reclaiming the spotlight at Burberry, with the British fashion house releasing a special series of limited-edition designs (only 100 of each will be made available for sale) to celebrate the puffy quilted bag over the coming weeks and months.
But for those who love a classic iteration of the Lola and prefer walking into the boutique to get one now, Burberry has plenty of shapes and timeless styles worth a closer look today.
It all starts with the Lola Bag, a chic crossbody flap fashioned with the TB logo in either gold-tone or silver-tone hardware in front. The key feature of the Lola Bag lies in its soft but semi-structured silhouette, and each boasts a beautiful quilted motif reminiscent of the signature check pattern.
The Lola Bag was first introduced in full Italian-tanned lambskin, but you will be pleased to find other variations like cashmere, canvas and knitted check that are all solid options as well. There are 3 main sizes to keep an eye out for, with the mini measuring 17 cm wide and 10 cm high, the small at 23 cm by 13 cm, and the medium the largest at 28 cm by 17 cm.
Burberry progressively launched other shapes like the Lola Bucket Bag and Lola Satchel which came with dual chain straps for over-the-shoulder carry. There are also new-in zip styles like the Soft Lola and Lola Camera Bag which feature a smaller format for the grab-and-go. Not forgetting miniature formats such as the Lola Pouch With Chain Strap and Crescent Lola Bag that add a fun dimension to the original crossbody flap style.
Truly spoilt for choice when it comes to Burberry’s Lola, which style, old or new, have you got your eye set on?
