No one does it better when it comes to ‘eclectic meets contemporary’, and British fashion house Mulberry is one of them with bag styles that also don’t break the bank. Signature styles include the Alexa, the Bayswater and the Lily, which are considered fun classics at Mulberry.
Joining the party is a charming new design that’s known as the Softie. Not only does it score top points for being one of the softest Mulberry bags yet, it is also amped up with exciting colours offering from and function that make it a must-have for the season.

Each Softie is quilted with unique curves and generously filled with thick down feathers to give it a pillow-like feel. Stuffed within the smoothest (and softest) Nappa leather, the result is a plush handbag that’s also huggable to boot.
Familiar Mulberry codes are present on the bag, such as the Postman’s Lock which punctuates the front flap in shiny gold or silver-tone hardware.
The bag will come in three different sizes, starting with the Little Softie (SGD2360) which measures 23 cm wide and 17 cm high. This crossbody style is fitted with the paper clip chain to sling easily over the shoulder or across the body, and it will be available in Black, Coral Orange, Cornflower Blue, Tobacco Brown and Wild Primrose.
Looking for a slightly larger version? That’s where the Softie (SGD3090) comes in. At 27 cm by 22 cm, this roomy style is sold together with an extra leather top handle that offers multiple ways of carrying.
This bigger size comes in the same five colours as the Little Softie, and it’s made from a material that re-inflates whenever it’s squeezed. In other words, what’s not to love?
If you fancy a carryall to throw everything in with ease then go for the Big Softie (SGD2530) which comes in a slightly different profile from the other two. Measuring 48 cm high and 30 cm wide, this tote has dual top handles and a sleek leather strap (in place of the paper clip chain) and guarantees to fit all your daily needs.
A4 documents and the like will all go in comfortably, so you can go ahead and take this to work if you love a workhorse with a difference. With colours like Black, Coral Orange, Tobacco Brown and Wild Primrose, there’s plenty to love as far as the Big Softie is concerned.
And that’s not all. Mulberry also has a Softie made of recycled nylon (SGD3290), launched as part of the ‘Mulberry Made To Last Manifesto’, a unique piece crafted from certified post-consumer recycled materials.
