If you’ve been wanting to add some colour and fun to your wardrobe, you won’t want to miss the upcoming Longchamp X André collaboration that’s big on energy and positivity.
According to Longchamp’s creative director Sophie Delafontaine, the collaboration was kismet. ‘Years ago, one of our first Paris showrooms was a rented space near Place de la Concorde. When we moved in, we discovered André had been there before us – because right there, on the back of the door, was Mr. A. You could say that was our first meeting.’
Mr. A, a jaunty character, is the signature of French graffiti artist André Saraiva. Never without his winking eye and toothy grin, Mr. A spreads humour and happiness wherever he goes, which is apparent through this quirky collection.
The line-up sees some of Longchamp’s classics transformed into characters with a few cheeky, bold strokes of Andre’s pen. Look forward to bags, tees and scarfs adorned with Mr. A’s circle and cross eyes and big smile, in an energetic colour palette of candy pink and sky blue, alongside a vibrant take on Longchamp’s signature green and graphic black.

There are four different Le Pliage formats to choose from, including the Top Handle Bag and Cosmetic Pouch, all in recycled nylon, with three different variations of Mr. A and one of his companion, Mrs. A, who bats her eyelashes and blows a kiss.
There’s also a calf leather version of the Le Pliage Travel Bag, André’s chosen travel companion, that’s finished with the artist’s unique take on Longchamp’s racehorse medallion.
Lastly, the highlight you won’t want to miss, a collectable small Le Pliage bag in recycled polyester canvas that’s customised by André. Printed in pink and blue with Mr. A motifs, each creation is totally unique with only 200 individually numbered pieces available worldwide, of which three will be in Singapore.

Excited? The limited-edition Longchamp X André collection will launch globally on 26 April 2022 and will be available in Longchamp boutiques in Singapore, as well as online via the brand’s e-store.
