Time and again, Hermès has proven that it’s a force to be reckoned with on all fronts. Aside from its dominance in the world of bags (who can forget those 3 icons), Hermès is also known for its fine selection of jewellery and watches that continue to be expanded year after year.
And the recently concluded Watches & Wonders 2022 was the perfect showcase of Hermès’ latest timepieces, with one of the main highlights being the Arceau Le Temps Voyageur. This updated style (the original Arceau watch designed by Henri d’Origny first made its debut in 1978) will now come in two sizes with different finishes and colours.

The first comes in a 41 mm platinum case with matte black grade 5 titanium bezel, while the second is slightly smaller at 38 mm with a full steel case.
Both timepieces are equipped with the anti-glare sapphire crystal and case-back, and they each sport different coloured dials of the ‘Planisphère d’un monde équestre’ motif designed by Jérôme Colliard. The latter is a renowned print found on Hermès’ exquisite silk scarves, featuring a fantasy-like world map perfect for the Arceau Le Temps Voyageur.
Each timepiece has a round case with asymmetrical lugs, and you will find that they sport the ‘Travelling Time’ mechanism (developed exclusively for Hermès) that displays 24 different time zones. The 4.4 mm thick 122-component module drives the mobile counter and home time indicator, all of which are seamlessly unified within the Hermès H1837 mechanical self-winding movement.
This exceptional mechanism also powers the hours, minutes and dual-time display, and you can expect a 40 hour power reserve which is more than enough for daily use.
The finishing touches include the alligator strap (matte graphite for the 41 mm, smooth sapphire blue for the 38 mm), and Hermès has also added a complementary tone-on-tone calfskin strap for days you decide to switch up the look.
Prices range from SGD32,700 for the 38 mm to SGD41,780 for the 41 mm, and you can find out more at your local Hermès boutique. Who else is ready to go on a magical journey (or rather, voyage) with the Arceau Le Temps Voyageur?
