Here to prove that Celine can really do it all is the launch of their exclusive Haute Maroquinerie collection, one that showcases the maison’s savoir-faire with made-to-order Celine 16 and Triomphe handbags.
The French fashion house already has exceptional couture and haute parfumerie lines for those who love dressing in (and smelling of) the best of what Celine has to offer, and this new exclusive service is simply the icing on the cake to complete your experience.
The highlight of Celine’s Haute Maroquinerie collection has to be the custom-made handbags crafted by a single artisan from start to finish. Each piece is only cut and assembled upon order, made using the finest Niloticus leather that’s known for its large, oval scales.
To preserve its lustrous shine, selected parts of the Nile crocodile are polished with an agate stone that acts as a glazing process for a smooth and natural finish. These precise steps are all handled by an expert leather artisan who is also responsible for the selection of skin, followed by the cutting and assembly, giving you an exclusive Celine 16 or Triomphe handbag.

The classic structure of the Celine 16 is elevated even further with saddle-stitching on the handles and detailed construction requiring 17 hours of craftsmanship. As for the Triomphe, you can expect a similar treatment centred around the chain-inspired motif, with the entire bag made from a single piece of croc leather, which requires approximately 12 hours of workmanship alone.
Naturally, the hardware on the bags in the Haute Maroquinerie collection aren’t the typical coated options made to resemble precious metals. Instead, they’re made of real jewellery elements in 18K white or yellow gold, and you can further customise them with diamonds in pavé or solitaire settings for added bling.

That’s not all. Finishing touches include the lacquered eucalyptus wood coffer to house your precious handbags, making them truly special collector pieces for lovers of all things Celine.
