Furla’s got a new bag in town, and you might want to take a closer look at this innovative design crafted with sustainable materials derived from wood pulp with FSC certification. Called the Bloom bag, it comes in a boxy shape inspired by the Japanese art of origami.
Evident in the foldable features which can be unbuttoned like a blooming flower (it is also quite ‘flat pack’, by the way, which is pretty genius), this chic bag can be used in different ways, though most of you will opt for a crossbody style that works well for the everyday.
Each bag is crafted in Italy using organic paper that biodegrades under controlled composting conditions, making it a sustainable design that will not be placed in landfills at the end of its lifespan.
Showcasing Furla’s care for the environment, you will also be pleased to know that the Bloom bag is also free of petroleum-derived substances and harmful chemicals.
Priced at SGD605 a pop, the Bloom bag can be found at Furla’s Lazada flagship store, as well as boutiques islandwide. Love colourful options aside from safe hues like black and white? Well, there are plenty of choices.

The matte finish includes Gerbera (yellow), Genziana (blue), Papavero (red), Puya (green) and Zinnia (yellow), while crinkled styles like Metal Blue and Metal Rosa and Silver are given a shiny finish for an eye-catching appeal. This gives you a total of ten different hues, so it’s down to which colour has your heart.
