Diptyque may be known for its luxury candles, but the Parisian parfumerie has an array of popular fragrances and scented treats too, including this iconic hit, the Do Son scent, an uplifting floral blend of tuberose, orange blossom and jasmine notes.
First launched in 2005, the scent, which features a marine accord, is inspired by the childhood memories of Diptyque’s co-founder Yves Coueslant. As a child, he spent his summers by the seaside in a wooden pagoda his father had built in Do Son, in Halong Bay. This memory has been translated into the eponymous fragrance, where each spritz evokes the sunset hour and sea breeze carrying the heady and spicy scent of white flowers.
In an invitation to rediscover the fragrance and set your imagination adrift, the limited-edition Do Son collection sees the fragrance and its accompanying scented delights clad in blue.
Look forward to the Do Son EDP (SGD246 in 75 ml), a more enduring blend with evocative fresh tuberose mingling with the sea air. For something more delicate, there’s the Do Son EDT in two sizes, 30 ml (SGD102) and 100 ml (SGD209), that offers softer wear.
You’ll also find an exclusive Do Son Hand Cream (SGD62 for 45 ml) presented in a blue pocket-sized tube. Besides delivering much needed hydration and nourishment, the rich and velvety formula also leaves hands smelling great.
And if you can’t get enough of this cult-favourite fragrance, you’ll be glad to know there’s also a Do Son Set (SGD164), comprising a 30 ml EDT and 45 ml hand cream. A great gift idea, this will take you on a sensorial journey, transporting you to the magical place by the sea.
The collection also sees a Tuberose Candle (SGD115 for 190 g) that highlights Do Son’s tuberose note. The candle, which offers up to 60 hours of burn time, will scent your space with the fresh and green aroma of the white flower, with subtle hints of fruity and milky notes that will surely delight.
The limited-edition Do Son collection is now available at Diptyque’s boutique at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, its dedicated space at Tangs at TANG Plaza, Escentials Paragon, and online via Escentials.
