Cartier has officially launched the Panthère de Cartier, coming in a new top-handle style that joins the existing range of handbags like the Must de Cartier and Double C de Cartier under their handbag offerings for the ladies.

And if there are 3 words that best describe the new Panthère de Cartier, it would be sharp, structured and stylish. Here’s why.

Sharp. The Panthère de Cartier has chic sharp lines and clean edges that make it a clear standout from every angle. Poised to look like a piece of jewel, each bag is further enhanced by the Panthère which disguises itself as a sculpted clasp in the shape of a C right on the front flap.

The panther was used extensively by Jeanne Toussaint during her stint as Creative Director in the 1940s, and it’s now transformed into a beautiful logo buckle crafted in unison with Cartier’s accessories design studio and high jewellery sculptors.

Structured. The trapezoid design is designed to be a structured top handle that will sit upright at all times. Even the handles and gusseted compartments are reinforced to retain their strength, giving you a solid handbag guaranteed to withstand daily wear with ease.

Both the mini size (18.5 cm by 15 cm) and the small size (21 cm by 18 cm) come in the same structured silhouette, so it’s down to which size you prefer.

Stylish. The key feature of the Panthère de Cartier has got to be the stylish jewel buckle, complete with black lacquer spots that emulate the panther’s fur to perfection.

Each piece is hand-polished for extra shine before it’s placed atop the wavy-grained Palmelatto leather. The latter is chosen for its scratch-resistant glossy coating, serving as the perfect base for the sharp, structured and stylish handbag.

To make the Panthère de Cartier even more special, Cartier has extended a personalisation service that allows you to add your initials (or a date/anniversary) in hot-stamped gold foil.

Alternatively, you can have it engraved on the inner mirror for a discreet touch.

Retailing at SGD3800 for the Panthère de Cartier Mini and SGD4350 for the small size, the new bag is available in four classic colours Black, Dark Green, Pale Pink and Red Cherry.
