Demna has taken traditional grocery baskets and shopping bags to a whole new level, evident in his love for the Bistro and Barbès, which both made an appearance in recent Balenciaga collections.

Love carrying a fun and whimsical bag wherever you go? Well, Balenciaga continues to introduce whimsical styles like this Mag Large Basket Bag, as seen on looks 12 and 14 of its Spring-Summer 2022 ‘Clones’ collection. While it’s considerably bigger at 50 cm wide and 30 cm high, the highlight of the bag has got to be the innovative thermoformed calfskin it comes in.

Moulded to form a thick, solid structure, this cool tote features a see-through pattern in front and at the sides. The back panel is left completely covered because it’s fitted with a zipped compartment and an extra slip pocket to keep your essentials neat and organised at all times. Dual handles are a definite plus as well, giving you that full supermarket-chic look with a Balenciaga twist.
