Louis Vuitton might be better known for their iconic monogram bags, but there’s no denying that when they launch leather styles, there are enough interesting options even for the fussiest amongst you. Case in point? Meet the new Buci from Louis Vuitton, a full leather classic-in-the-making that deserves a closer look.

The Buci has all the makings of a bag that should prove popular, so don’t be surprised if it becomes a new favourite of the house. Measuring 24.5 cm wide and 15.5 cm high, the boxy bag comes with a resin LV clasp right in front that sets the tone from the get-go.

Sporting a versatile strap with two drop lengths, the shorter one at 28.5 cm for an over-the-shoulder style, while the other is extendable to 52 cm to create that crossbody look. The interior is pretty roomy with ample pockets to keep you organised, and there’s even a back pocket for all your quick access needs.

The corners are accentuated with smooth leather panels to create a trunk-inspired look, and the fact that it comes in full Epi leather makes it instantly recognisable as one from the French house.

Epi leather is easily one of most resilient leathers out there, but Louis Vuitton has dedicated instructions to ensure that it will stay in a beautiful condition over the years. It’s best to keep it away from grease or even contact with beauty products such as hand creams, sanitisers and perfume.

Any prolonged contact might result in colour transfer, and as always, keep it away from direct sunlight and too much humidity, which also applies to most other leathers out there.

Available in 4 colours like Dragon Fruit, Gold Miel, Noir (shown above) and Quartz, it is priced at SGD2890, which isn’t bad for a full leather bag. Which colour have you set your sights on?
