Don’t expect to find tigers and orange-themed bags from Dior, because the French fashion house has opted for a different theme altogether for Lunar New Year. Instead, they have focused on red butterflies and flowers for the season, with the intricate pattern found on some of Dior’s signature styles like the Book ToteLady D-Lite and Saddle bags.

Maria Grazia Chiuri has aptly named it the Multicolour Butterfly Embroidery, and each bag is embellished with the ‘Christian Dior’ signature in front. Dior has catered for different styles to match your needs, with the ‘biggest’ of them all being the Small Book Tote (SGD5100) that measures 36.5 cm wide and 28 cm high.

Perfect for carrying red packets and even mandarin oranges during the Lunar New Year, this stylish carryall is guaranteed to impress the elders who are all about keeping things bright and cheery during the festive period.

Prefer something daintier? There’s always the Saddle Bag (SGD6100) and Lady D-Lite (SGD7700), both coming in smaller proportions at 25.5 cm by 20 cm and 24 cm by 20 cm respectively. The forever iconic Saddle looks extra delicate in this new butterfly get-up, complete with the beautifully curved body and the ‘D’ stirrup clasp that are both signature elements of the timeless bag.

The charming Lady D-Lite can be worn in numerous ways. Whether you prefer an elegant look (channelling Lady Diana herself) via the dual top handles or slinging it over the shoulder with the wide reversible strap, Dior has got you covered.

Always had a thing for butterflies and florals? Well, Dior’s Lunar New Year capsule has your name written all over it. Not literally, of course.
