Design-forward home fragrances are an easy way to refresh your interiors and uplift your space with mood lifting scents. And if you’re looking to do just that, consider Ginori 1735’s first-ever home fragrance line, La Compagnia Di Caterina (LCDC), that’s now available in Singapore just in time for the holidays.
Known for its artisanal tableware, the Italian porcelain company has come together with designer Luca Nichetto to create timeless, scented works of art, with porcelain vessels and scents inspired by the brand’s storied history, in particular the court of Catherine de Medici. Every character in the LCDC collection are historical figures brought to life in the form of a candle or diffuser, and each symbolises a value to aspire to.
Each ‘character’ is available in three fragrances. There’s Black Stone, a spicy oriental cocktail of nutmeg, cinnamon and patchouli to fire discovery; Orange Renaissance, a seductive woody-citrus blend of bergamot, cypress and honey; and Purple Hill, a fresh floral bouquet with mandarin, lavender and white flowers to transport you to the Tuscan hills in full spring bloom.
For starters, there’s the Il Favorito (The Favourite) candle (SGD290 for 284 g) that comes in a jar featuring a face covered by the words ‘Light My Fire’, a call to always keep the flame of faith alight as a symbol of ambition.
There’s also Il Seguace (The Companion), a refillable candle holder (SGD497), which includes a 190 g candle with cover. A symbol of friendship, the candle holder with an expressive face brings harmony to any environment and is available in three colours Forest, Flamingo and Pure White, and each filled with one of the three scents. And when you’re done, you can always purchase a candle refill (SGD131 for 190 g) in the scent of your choice.
And if you prefer to keep your space constantly scented without having to worry about a flame, there’s the L’Amazzone (The Amazon) refillable scent diffuser (SGD711) that comes with a 300 ml fragrance glass bottle and six diffuser sticks.
A symbol of leadership, the diffuser comes in the form of a fighting female featured wearing a battle helmet as a symbol of her strength and is available in three options, Lavander, Red Clay and Pure White, each for one of the three scents. And similar to the refillable candle holder, you can always pop in a new diffuser refill (SGD131 for 300 ml) when you’re in need of a new one.
Lastly, the La Dama (The Lady) candle comes in a cylindrical sculpture in white porcelain, with lines that depict a feminine face with an ethereal elegance. This is available in two sizes, the small (SGD328 for 163 g) and large (SGD1020 for 1788 g) that will surely make a statement.
